Departing from Fort Flagler Historical State Park on Marrowstone Island, our guided kayak tours take you through waters teeming with wildlife. An important pitstop for migratory birds, the area is also frequented by seals, otters, sea lions, porpoises and even baleen whales. We've also developed our own unique method for predicting when the bioluminescent plankton will be strong - providing an once in a lifetime glowing experience for paddlers!

No experience is necessary. Our knowledgeable guides provide instruction and insights to make your paddle both safe and memorable.

Wildlife tours
Paddle through calm waters as we search for harbor seals, bald eagles, otters, and even the occasional porpoise. Your guide will share stories about the region’s ecosystem and history.

Know Before you go
While beautiful, our surrounding sea waters still require a level of caution before heading out to your adventure. Here are some helpful things to know before you go:
You are required to have a PFD while on board any of our water craft, including kayaks and stand up paddleboards. PFDs are included with your rental.
Can I bring my own life jacket?
If it's a coastguard certified life jacket then yes. It should have a whistle attached per Coast Guard requirements.
Please wear weather-appropriate clothing. Check the weather in Port Townsend the day before or the day of. Layers give you options, and remember that 'cotton is rotten' when it comes to water activities. Typical of the Pacific Northwest, rain may be a possibility, so packing a light rain jacket never hurts.

Sunglasses, sunblock, and hat recommended.

We recommend not bringing anything in the kayak that you would prefer to keep dry, unless you have a trustworthy method of keeping your belongings dry.

Our delicate eco-system is abundant with marine life and rare birds in their natural habitat. Please enjoy wildlife from afar and maintain a safe distance between yourself and all sea and land wildlife.
